Petronia reports that the Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) "Speed Date" Sunday night, July 22nd, was a night to remember. Select playwrights were given a chance to pitch their plays to a handful of veteran producers in a "speed dating" event where each playwright was given 4-minutes to sell their projects before a bell rang signalling everyone to move to the next producer. As the playwright, I know I couldn't have had a better representative and we expect to be hearing from at least one or two very shortly. One producer liked the play well enough to offer us his theatre for a reading. Pretty cool or as Bojangles might have said, "It's copasetic." 

Up Date: Got two requests from the "Speed Date." Keeping fingers crossed.

Noted director and actress Petronia Paley will pitch the full-length 3-act play to a handful of Broadway producers this Sunday, July 22nd at the legendary Players Theatre in NYC. This by-invitation-only event was organized by Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) and is a true  honor for us. At least one producer won a Tony and many have been associated with Tony nominated productions including The Scottsboro Boys, Porgy & Bess, Radio Golf, Legally Blonde, The Toxic Avenger, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and more.
